For my nails of the week I have tried Velvet Nails by Ciate. There have been different reviews on this polish effect with a wide range of thoughts. Some really loved it and other hated it…I guess you can’t please everyone. I am in the really liked it category. The biggest complaint people had seemed to be that the velvet wears off. Thats true it does wear of within the first few days but that didnt bother me because I felt that this is a special occasion type of nail polish. After the fuzzies (if that is even a word) wear off it just looks like a matte polish. I kinda liked the looked actually.
The one thing that isn’t that fun about this polish, is that after you paint your nails you sprinkle the velvet all over your wet nails and that is a little messy. Also don’t brush off the velvet too soon or the nail polish will smudge. To avoid this I blew off the extra velvet instead. I bought this set a Sephora for $21.
I just had to share this cute key fob from Tory Burch that I saw on Pinterest. I cant find it on her site so I must have missed out…Boo hoo ;-( Its so adorable and would have been perfect when I’m wearing my matching Reva flats!
I just signed up to be a Stella & Dot stylist last week. I love their jewelry and thought why not share the love. So I wanted share some pictures of the different pieces with you that I adore and want. This is my first time dealing with a home business jewelery line and I am really impressed by the company. First the web site is awesome with all the how to videos and great ideas. From start to finish the whole Stella & Dot branding is incredibly professional. Every piece of jewelry comes in little boxes that’s great for storage or ready to give as a gift. Do you know anyone who is a Stella & Dot devotee? What do you think of the line? Do you own any of their jewelery or have been to a trunk show? If you have let me know what you think. I would love to hear about your thoughts!

As I get older I found that powder can sometimes be my worst enemy. I am not at all happy about this since I LOVE powder! It hides a multitude of sins, and I am so used to using it in my daily makeup routine. Too Faced Primed and Poreless translucent powder is a nice light powder that doesn’t go into my fine lines and wrinkles like some other powders do. I dont think it makes me look poreless and airbrushed as it claims.
This is the description on Sephora;
What it is:
A silky, translucent finishing veil that adjusts to any skintone while minimizing the appearance of pores and fine lines.
What it does:
Primed and Poreless Powder contains a high-resolution, reflective powder technology that transforms skin by visually minimizing pores, fine lines, and imperfections for an airbrushed-looking finish. Our weightless powder can be worn alone, or under and over foundation to prep skin, lockdown makeup, and control shine for a complexion-smoothing, flawless finish.
At $36.00 it is on the higher spectrum of the price range for loose powders.
